AFRICAN EDIBLE CLAY ( Ulo, Bentonite Clay )

Original price was: $20.00.Current price is: $11.99.

Indulge in the age-old African tradition with our Authentic Edible Clay. Known for its natural, earthy taste, both Ulo and Nzu are revered across many African cultures for their unique health and spiritual benefits. Our Edible Clay is carefully sourced to ensure it retains its original texture and mineral-rich composition. We have two types  of edible clay : ULO and NZU.

Ulo and Nzu are both edible clays with some key differences, including color, shape, and taste:

Ulo is brown, while Nzu is white.

Ulo is flat, while Nzu is round.

Ulo has a dusty taste, while Nzu doesn’t.

Ulo is also known as Bentonite Clay, while Nzu is also known as Kaolin Clay or Calabash Chalk:
Ulo is a natural clay with a soft texture that forms a paste when mixed with water. Some people use it for medical or cosmetic purposes, such as treating acne and rashes or as a hair mask.
Nzu is a white clay that is excavated from clay soil. The Igbo people of South Eastern Nigeria believe it is a spiritual sacramental that can be used to invoke their gods. It is also used as an offering to deities and ancestors, as a medicine, and as a symbol of purity, good fortune, and hospitality.
Both clays should be consumed with caution, especially during pregnancy.

Experience the grounding essence of Africa with every bite. Whether you’re a connoisseur of African delicacies or exploring new culinary horizons, both Ulo and Nzu are a must-try. It’s not just a taste, it’s a journey to the roots of African tradition.

Rich in essential minerals like calcium and iron, Edible Clay serves not only as a soulful culinary experience but also as a step towards a balanced, natural diet. It’s pure, it’s authentic, and it’s ready to be a part of your holistic dietary journey.
